Lera first came to the path of Eastern Medicine through her own experience of being helped by acupuncture and herbs. She knows firsthand how important it is to provide the best possible care to her patients and strives to make everyone feel cared for and heard.
Lera is a board-certified acupuncturist and herbalist. She completed a four-year doctorate program at Pacific College of Health and Sciences in Chicago. While in school, Lera fulfilled internships at Chicago Women’s Health Center and Project Vida. She deepened her education by studying with various practitioners outside the school environment. Lera is currently expanding her knowledge of Chinese herbalism through a graduate mentorship program led by Sharon Weizenbaum.
Lera treats various conditions but her main interests are pain management, migraine relief, gynecological issues and digestive problems. She loves utilizing herbal medicine to enhance her treatments of these conditions.
In her spare time, Lera enjoys gardening and growing Chinese herbs. The process helps her connect with the plants and deepen her knowledge of their medicinal properties. She also enjoys spending time in her local community and participating in events that create connections between people.
